On one of our “day time dates” with out the kids, Nathan and I were at the estate specialist (duh) and started to look at some old books. We scored several unique vintage books that I am so excited about.
The BEE on the cover? Yeah, its crazy cool. It is called:
Ahhhhh! It is awesome. Period. Look at the binding:
A colorful vintage nursery ryme book was in the mix:
And last but not least…THIS IS CRAZY. Here is the story on this one:
I grew up in a 250 year old plantation home in Virginia called the Ivanhoe. Yes, it had a name. I knew it was named after a book by Sir Walter Scott, but did I care about this book as a child? Heck no.
So we are perusing the book section and WHAT DID I FIND?! …..
CRAZY. What are the odds? I am excited to own it because it is definately a huge part of who I am today.
More about that house…it was insanely huge and old. I spent all my weekends growing up repairing and fixing up the home with my family. Sometimes I hated it, but its where I learned all my random SKILZ that I wow you with now. I will try to find a good pic of the plantation house to post for ya soon.
Cheers!
